Narrative description of project:
The International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), the private sector arm of the World Bank, appointed hera to help identify opportunities for IFC to invest in providers of primary care services and diagnostic services, in particular medical laboratories and medical imaging.

IFC thereby required a better understanding of
- primary care and diagnostic services;
- the challenges emerging markets face in these two sub-sectors;
- the future potential for primary care and diagnostic services in emerging markets.

The underlying objective for the investments is to eventually reduce the costs of diagnostic tests for the general population and improvement the quality of the healthcare provision.
