Erick Baganizi, MD, MPH, Public Health Specialist

  • Erick Baganizi is a medical doctor and public health specialist and international development professional with more than 15 years of experience.

  • He began joined hera as an Associate Partner in 2024.

  • His areas of expertise include project/program design & development; program monitoring and evaluation using both quantitative and qualitative approaches; strategic planning including analytical and conceptual analysis.

  • Erick has experience in mixed methods data collection, analysis & research report writing.

  • Erick has worked for several UN and CSO institutions for their programs evaluation in Rwanda.

  • On behalf of hera, Erick has worked on KAP evaluation for Enabel Rwanda and co-led the Enabel Rwanda Project to “Induce Behavioural and Social Changes among the Community Regarding the MNASRH in Seven Districts In Rwanda.”

  • Erick has worked on several projects with focus on health systems, policy, global health especially in the area of Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent health (MNCAH) as well as Nutrition and WASH with a lens of social justice in Rwanda.

  • Erick is fluent in English and French, native speaker of Kinyarwanda and moderate speaker of Swahili.
