International call for artists

We would like to engage an artist, or team of artists, to design, draw, paint or photograph a set of images to be used on our new website and in our reports.

The images need to embody the values of hera and connect to the places and people where we work. hera is an international team that works globally, particularly in Africa, Southeast Asia and South America. We are a cooperatively owned business providing evaluation, research, and training services in the health and development sector. Collectively we are committed to the right to health and development for all. You can learn more about us in our about us section on this our soon-to-be old website: https://hera.eu/en/about/who-we-are/

This call is open to all artists and all types of approaches, both abstract and figurative and everything in between.

Interested artists are invited to:
• Submit an example of past work
• Providing a description of the role played in producing it
• Provide a very brief statement on a proposed approach to working with us
• Where possible, provide a cost estimate for producing images and any relevant information regarding copyright and licensing

The selected artist will receive a design agreement and a percentage of the agreed fee to develop a sample image and a broader proposal for a complete set of images. When the sample and design proposal is accepted, the artist will then be contracted to produce the agreed-upon images.

Artist and artist teams should know that the selection process will involve a company-wide review of submissions and a voting process. Please take this approval process and the contractual process into consideration when submitting proposals.

Thank you for your interest.

Please feel free to contact us should you require more information about this call.

Deadline for submissions: September 15, 2022
A decision will be announced on October 15.
Please email submissions to communications@hera.eu.
