Xitlali Sandino
Xitlali joined hera in 2024 as a Project Officer.
As a Program Officer, Xitlali's main duties and responsibilities include project support, contract oversight, and quality assurance. Xitlali works closely with other project officers and the Director to explore new tendering opportunities.
Xitlali is responsible for the day-to-day management of contracts, which involves maintaining regular and effective communication with clients, consultants, and partners.
Additionally, Xitlali oversees the follow-up of field missions and the preparation and processing of invoices. Her work includes editing reports, supervising technical quality, and conducting administrative quality checks to ensure all project aspects meet established standards.
Xitlali holds a background in biology and a master's degree in Development Evaluation and Management, with over 21 years of experience in sustainable development within civil society organizations in Central America.
She has worked on diverse issues such as food security, agroecology, climate change, and human rights, particularly through her role at Centro Humboldt.
Fluent in Spanish and English, with proficiency in French and beginner-level Dutch, Xitlali is committed to gender equality, equity, and human rights, and excels in multicultural environments.
