Kashi Carasso, MPH MScPharm
Kashi is a public health professional with a pharmacy background, and has twenty years of experience working in different capacities on strategy, implementation and evaluation of health programmes, with a focus on access to medicines;
Her technical areas of expertise include procurement & supply chain management of quality medicines, facilitation, training & capacity building, and evaluation of complex health programs;
During her professional career, Kashi has worked for FCDO (DFID), the European Union, UN organisations (WHO, UNICEF, Unitaid, UNAIDS, UNDP), the Global Fund, the World Bank, KfW, USAID, Oxfam, Marie Stopes Int’l, HAI International, Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and MSF.
Kashi is an examiner and lecturer at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT, Amsterdam) and the University of Rwanda/Regional Center of Excellence, has since 2014 been a member of WHO Unitaid’s Proposal Review Committee, and an active member of QUAMED (quality medicines for all) and the Laguna Collective (promoting mental health and psychosocial wellbeing for underserved populations);
She is a team player, proactive and results-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills. In addition, Kashi is trained as a holistic counsellor and group therapist and supports personal self-development processes.
Countries of intervention include Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, DR Congo, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Lesotho, Kenya, Malawi, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
