The hera family is growing

Join us in welcoming two exceptional professionals to the hera team

At hera, we believe that our strength lies in our people. The diverse backgrounds and extensive expertise of our newest additions will significantly enhance our capacity to deliver high-quality services to our clients and partners. Here’s a brief introduction to Xitlali Sandino and Darina Hernikova, who have recently joined our team.

Joining us as a Project Officer, Xitlali Sandino brings over 21 years of experience in sustainable development within civil society organizations in Central America. Her primary responsibilities at hera include project support, contract oversight, and quality assurance. Xitlali excels in maintaining effective communication with clients, consultants, and partners, ensuring that all project aspects meet established standards.

Xitlali’s background in biology and her master's degree in Development Evaluation and Management underpin her expertise in food security, agroecology, climate change, and human rights. Her commitment to gender equality, equity, and human rights aligns perfectly with hera’s mission.

We are also delighted to welcome Darina Hernikova as our Knowledge Management and Communication Officer. Darina will be responsible for enhancing hera’s internal and external knowledge management and communication systems. Her enthusiasm for the creative side of technical work, including data visualization and graphic design, combined with her meticulous approach to cross-cultural and sectoral communication, makes her a perfect fit for this role.

Darina’s diverse background equips her well for navigating dynamic international environments, and her extensive experience in the communications sphere will be instrumental in advancing hera’s knowledge management initiatives.

We are excited to have Xitlali and Darina on board and look forward to the positive impact they will have on our projects and partnerships. Please join us in welcoming them to the hera family!
